Complete with colorful floral lays, Hawaiian decorations, and a grand variety of food and treats, Chaffey High School celebrated the end of another year with the ever so popular annual Best Buddies Luau.
The event was held at Chaffey High School on May 29th and it spread across the north end quad on campus. The weather was cool and breezy, just perfect for an afternoon of fun and games.
Each year Chaffey High School hosts the Luau as a way to celebrate the end of another fun filled year. SEA Virginia Jones, along with her team of officers, and teachers helped plan the event and ensured that all the details were covered.
The Luau was a great success as Buddies and Peer Buddies came together to say good bye to their graduating friends, many promising to keep in touch. The luau spreads across both lunches giving everyone ample time to celebrate and exchange yearbook greetings.
The area was set perfectly with colorful decorations which depicted the vibe of a tropical paradise. Many students were prepared and dressed in their best Hawaiian attire accessorized with a festive and essential floral lays.
After everyone enjoyed a bountiful meal, the seniors were recognized with a special graduation lay signaling their departure from Chaffey High School. In an effort to capture one last memory of this year's chapter, the group gathered for a group photograph capturing the essence of the party and showing off the size of their chapter.
Chaffey High School has one of the Inland Empires largest chapters with over 30 matches, so as you can imagine taking a photograph with a large number of people was not easy, but they proved that it was not impossible. The afternoon ended with a sack race, which was competitive, fun and enjoyed by both the audience and the players.
The event brought joy to many and gave everyone the opportunity to enjoy one last gathering together before the departure of the graduates. After this years Luau there is no doubt as to why this event is so popular and why it will remain an honored tradition. |
